Comic Chloe Troast reveals she ‘wasn’t asked back’ to SNL & ‘wishes’ she could return as sketch show hires 3 new stars

SATURDAY Night Live star Chloe Troast has confirmed that she’s not returning to the show, sharing the announcement on social media.

The comic confirmed her exit and shared the shocking reason for it on her Instagram Story.

After Deadline reported that Chloe, 27, was leaving SNL to make room for three new additions, she shared a statement of her own.

“Hey all I was going to wait to post but Deadline beat me to it,” she began.

“Unfortunately I was not asked back to SNL this season. I wish I was going back to be with all the amazing friends I made there, it truly felt like home.”

Chloe went on, “But it wasn’t in the cards. I wanna thank everyone who supported me. Especially everyone who came to see my tour this summer, wore costumes from characters and had such wonderful things to say.

“You mean everything to me. I hope I was able to spread joy and laughter, all love. Onwards and upwards.”

FRESH FACES

The outlet reported that three new stars are joining the cast.

Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline have been cast in Season 50 of the sketch comedy show.

Ashley previously appeared on an episode of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm and is a member of the Main Company in The Groundlings.

Emil appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2022.

He was selected as a New Face of Comedy during the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival the same year he opened up for Roy Wood Jr, Nikki Glaser, and Hasan Minhaj.

Jane, for her part, has a massive TikTok following and is a cast member on Stapleview on the platform.

Additionally, Marcello Hernandez, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker have been promoted to the show’s main cast.

Chloe is joined in her departure from the show by Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney .

The majority of performers on the upcoming season of SNL are longtime veterans.

Fans were stunned to hear about Chloe’s departure from the show.

“Just another job on her resume. On to better things now,” one fan assured the star.

“On to better things now,” a second echoed.

“That’s unfortunate,” completed a fifth fan.

Chloe’s departure comes just weeks after fellow SNL castmate Punkie Johnson as well as Molly Kearney revealed they will also not be returning.
