    Schoolboy, 6, hit by coach in horror crash before being rushed to hospital with severe injuries

    A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy has been seriously injured after being hit by a coach yesterday afternoon.

    The boy from Leicester was treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital, where he remained overnight.

    His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

    No other injuries have been reported from the incident.

    Leicestershire Police were called to Walnut Street, where the collision took place, by the ambulance service at 4.11pm.

    The road, which is near Leicester Royal Infirmary in the city centre, was closed for several hours in both directions following the incident.

    The force said no arrests had been made.

    It urged any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
