APPLE users can take advantage of several ingenious perks to slash hundreds off the cost of a new iPhone 16.

The tech giant unveiled its latest fleet of smartphones, watches, and AirPods at Monday's Glowtime event.

While the latest devices carry a hefty price tag - the base iPhone 16 starts at $799 - Apple offers discounts to eligible customers.

All you have to do is confirm your identity or trade in an old device to shave hundreds off the cost of a new one.

Those in the education sphere - whether you're a student, teacher, or parent - can take advantage of the retailer's Education Pricing.

The deal is open to current students aged 16 and older in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.

You must be enrolled in a further or higher education institution, defined as a college or university.

Shoppers can confirm their current enrollment by sharing their student ID or an acceptance letter.

The deal extends to parents who are buying an Apple device for current students, as well as professors and lecturers.

And Apple gets even more generous by offering the perk to workers in non-teaching roles, like administrators and parent-teacher association executives.

That's not to mention limited-time offers like the Back to School promotion, which ends on September 30.

Under the terms, users receive an Apple gift card with each purchase and can redeem it later.

A $150 Apple gift card is up for grabs with the purchase of an eligible iMac, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro.

With the purchase of a Mac mini, you can receive a $100 gift card. The same offer extends to certain iPad Pro and Air models.

The tech giant is also showing gratitude to current or former members of the U.S. Military, National Guard, and Reserve with a 10% discount.

The Veterans and Military Purchase Program offers savings on a range of products and accessories.

To start shopping, confirm your veteran or active military status online. Apple uses a third-party service called ID.me to securely verify users' identities.

Then there's the trade-in perk, which Apple calls a "win-win-win."

You can hand over an older device, upgrade to a new one, and save hundreds. This can be done in-store or online.

To trade in your device in person, take it to an Apple store, where you will receive an exact value on the spot.

Alternatively, you can get an estimate online, choose a new product, add your trade-in device, and check out.

Apple will send you a confirmation email with instructions on how to back up your data and prepare your device, then walk you through the exchange with step-by-step instructions.

If your device isn’t eligible for credit, Apple offers to recycle it for free - deeming it "a great deal for you and the planet."
