‘If you knew the answer why did you ask me?’ Terry Bradshaw tells Fox NFL Sunday host Curt Menefee after trivia question

TERRY Bradshaw playfully took issue with host Curt Menefee during a segment on Fox NFL Sunday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers legend, 75, was given an unusual question from the host of the Week 2 edition of the pregame NFL show.

The Fox NFL show spoke about Indianapolis Colts star quarterback Anthony Richardson ‘s 60-yard passing touchdown to wideout Alec Pierce in the team’s season-opening loss to the Houston Texans in Week 1.

Alongside analysts Terry Bradshaw , Howie Long, Michael Strahan , and contributor Rob Gronkowski , Menefee revealed that the throw traveled 65.3 yards in the air.

The panel was overlooking the Fox NFL Los Angeles studios’ mini-football field as Menefee told the audience and Bradshaw that an actual colt is a young male horse.

He then asked a question to Bradshaw, who used to own a $22.5 million ranch and has experience with horses.

“If you put colts end-to-end, how many colts does that 65-yard pass equal?” Menefee asked Bradshaw.

The NFL Hall of Famer believed that colt horses are five to six feet tall and said that Richardson’s 65-yard thrown pass means the ball traveled 195 feet.

Bradshaw answered, saying that 32 colts could fit the amount of distance of the throw.

Menefee quickly gave the final answer, which was 32 colt horses, as a graphic showing 32 animated horses behind each other on the football field.

However, Bradshaw didn’t take a liking to Menefee’s answer.

“If you knew the answer, why did you ask me?” he asked the Fox NFL Sunday host.

Long then chimed in as he also disagreed with how the trivia question segment was laid out.

“Thank you!” Bradshaw said to Long.

The segment concerning Richardson’s towering pass came after Fox NFL Sunday introduced Gronkowski for his first appearance of the NFL season.

The New England Patriots icon missed Week 1 but was on the set over the weekend and filled in for Jimmy Johnson.

Menefee introduced Gronk, who then said, “Thanks for having me back.”

“It’s an honor to be with you four legends here.

“The way you guys always welcome me is always awesome.”

Gronk held his hand on his heart and added, “You make me feel warm.”

His co-star Strahan then quipped, “They don’t know what happened behind the scenes.”

The U.S. Sun reported that Gronk has taken up a new contributor role for Fox.

After being a full-time analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, he will make sporadic appearances on the show as well as Fox NFL Kick throughout the year.
