I started dating my dad’s best friend almost the second I turned 18 – trolls call me a ‘victim’ over our 26 year age gap

A WOMAN has revealed that she is in a relationship with her dad’s best friend.

Megara Del Rey, an ‘outdoorsy 5ft4 brunette’ from the US, explained that she began dating her father’s pal almost the second she turned 18.

But Megara’s 26 year age gap relationship has left many divided, with trolls calling her relationship ‘disgusting’ and ‘gross’.

In a short clip shared on social media with the caption ‘Crazy how time flies!’, we saw Megara and her partner, as she said: “We’re 26 and 52, but we were once…44 and 18.”

She then shared a throwback picture of her and her man when they first got together, when she was still a teenager and he was almost mid forties.

In a follow-up clip, Megara responded to a nasty comet from a mean troll that read ‘You’re a victim for sure’.

In response to this, the content creator explained: “I am not a victim. My dad's best friend never did anything inappropriate before I turned 18.

“When I turned 18, I was the one who was into him and initiated everything.

“He was really hesitant to get involved because of my age, so it was all me.”

Megara claimed that she feels “really respected” in her age gap relationship and is happy to be with an older man.

She confessed: “My dad’s best friend is actually really sweet and respectful! Our 26 year age gap doesn’t mean anything.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lifeofmyladelrey, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since racked up a jaw-dropping 2.3 million views.

BIG DIVIDE

But social media users were left hugely divided by Megara’s age gap relationship.

Whilst some thought it was ‘gross’ and ‘creepy’, others didn’t see a problem.
