The frequency of <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/health/7173218/poop-says-about-health/" rel="nofollow"> bowel movements </a> varies widely from person to person. But, typically, going anywhere from three times a day to three times a week is considered “normal”. Going once every five days is less common, and could be a sign of constipation or another digestive issue. If you’re experiencing discomfort, bloating, or other symptoms, it’s a good idea to book an appointment with your GP. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> Maintaining a balanced diet with plenty of fibre, staying hydrated and being physically active regularly can also support <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/health/11931129/poo-bowel-habits-ask-dr-zoe/" rel="nofollow"> regular bowel movements </a> . It’s worth mentioning that anyone who experiences a change to their bowel habits that persists, should see their GP too, as this could be a sign of bowel cancer. <h3 class="article-boxout__headline"> Health tip </h3> NOW is the perfect time to winter-proof your home before it gets too cold. Look for draughts around the skirting boards and cover with foam strips. If you have the budget, replace windows if they are not double or triple-glazed.
