After Michael Vick retired from football in 2017, he’s been seen spending more time with his family .
Born on June 26, 1980, the star has been married to wife, Kijafa, since 2012.
The pair have three children together, while the former Atlanta Falcons player shares a son with his ex-girlfriend.
In a 2019 interview with SB Nation, Michael said that eventually, he would like to get into coaching football.
However, for now, he just wants to focus on being a dad.
The football coaching will hopefully come, but “not until [his] kids grow older”.
Michael is the face of a new three-part docuseries called Evolution Of The Black Quarterback on Amazon Prime, in which he discusses the highs and lows of his career.
It’s a family affair, as his wife is one of the documentary’s executive producers.
Despite his success on the field, the NFL star has said that he won’t push his kids into sports.
He said: “I’m not pushing my kids to do anything other than be successful at whatever they wanna do.”
Here’s a look at his kids…
Mitez Vick
Mitez is Michael’s oldest child.
He was born on July 10, 2002, to Michael and his high school sweetheart, Tameka Taylor.
While Michael and Tameka went to different colleges, they finished Warwick High School together in Virginia.
However the relationship did not last and the couple split.
Mitez is an aspiring actor, model, and dancer, based in Miami.
He attended the New York Film Academy in 2023, and has appeared in several short films.
His mother, Tameka, got her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Education, Psychology and Sociology at Norfolk State University in Virginia.
She then went on to get her Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Columbia Southern University.
She is now the owner and director of Majestic Talents, a gymnastics , cheerleading and dance organization in Newport.
Growing up, Miltez had to divide his time between his mother and father, as they were no longer together.
In a 2017 interview with Sports Illustrated’s Monday Morning Quarterback, Michael shared that during his children’s early years, there were periods when Mitez wasn’t around.
Consequently, he would play football with his daughters instead.
Although Mitez was not interested in football growing up, his skills include tumbling, a nod to his mom’s gymnastics company.
Jada
Jada is Michael’s oldest child with wife Kijafa.
She was born on October 12, 2004.
Jada plays flag football – a non-contact version of American football – and just like her dad is a quarterback.
In 2017, Michael shared about Jada’s development as a football player.
He said: “My daughter, Jada, she’s in sixth grade. She’s actually in middle school, but she’s the high school varsity quarterback for the all-girls flag football team, so that goes to show how good she is and how good she can throw the ball.”
Michael added: “She understands the game and I think it is an outlet for women as well. I sit back and watch the girls play.
“I went to every game this season and they play hard, they play to a championship.
“They didn’t go this year, obviously, she was young, but she made a lot of plays and it was just a great joy to watch.”
Her mom joked that she gets her athletic ability “from her momma not her daddy”.
London
London, is Michael’s third child and his second daughter with Kijafa.
She was born on October 19, 2007.
In 2017, Kijafa shared a video on Instagram showing young London performing with her violin.
Kijafa captioned the post, “You can’t tell London she is not Beyonce , that snatch at the end. #sohappythatviolinisgone.”
In another post, Kijafa reflected on watching her daughters grow into “beautiful young ladies”.
She added: “I miss them so much when they are at school but as soon I pick them up I think to myself why is school not longer, they get on my damn nerves.
“I love watching them grow into beautiful young ladies.
“I hope that I am preparing them for an amazing future.”
Michael Jr
Kajifa’s only son, and Mike’s second was born on November 20, 2017, making him ten years younger than his nearest sister.
He is named after his dad, Michael .
It seems he may have been a delightful surprise for Mike and Kijafa.
At the time, she shared on Instagram, “Michael you are the best thing I never knew I needed, you changed all my life’s plans, you were the perfect distraction, my accidental happiness. I love you so much.”
Kijafa affectionately refers to him as “Fatman” on Instagram and insists he resembles her.
She posted: “I don’t care what y’all say, Fatman is my twin with his dad’s complexion and I’ll throw in his nose.”
However, Mike Sr has said his son is “all muscle”.

I met him at a Silent Auction I was doing the coat check, when he first got with the Falcons. He, along with several other Sports Figures, e.g. Bo Jackson, Jessie Tuggle, Vince Dooley & several more I didn’t know who they were because I’m not really a Sports person. He was a very respectful young man. I wish him the best! God Bless him & his Family! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
