Instead of passing to him, Mahomes took it upon himself to run up the middle and had the safety Mustapha in his way. Mahomes then lowered his shoulder and sent Mustapha to the ground. During the interview, she brought up his brutal hit of Mustapha, and Mahomes shared an admission about the play. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> “I wasn’t even trying to run him over. I’m just trying to get in the end zone,” Mahomes said to Andrews. “I’m a little heavy. NFL fans were in hysterics over his postgame comment, with one writing, “Dad bod for the win.”  Mahomes is listed at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, but he is likely heavier. The NFL star has gotten hit with jokes about his unathletic physique in the past. He has six passing touchdowns and eight interceptions, including two from Sunday.
