It’s not something you see every day, but fans saw it Saturday night when the Hops’ Gavin Logan drew a walk in the bottom of the 10th inning for the game-winning run, leading Hillsboro over Everett 5-4 on Aug. 10, at Hillsboro Ballpark.

It was a game of comebacks, as Everett tied the game then took the lead with two runs in the top of the ninth, then watched the Hops tie it 3-3 with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning before getting the extra inning win.

Jackson Feltner continued his hot week, coming through with a game-tying RBI-double with two outs in the ninth.

Logan’s extra inning walk came after Hillsboro had tied the game on a Jack Hurley single that scored Kevin Sim.

Gino Groover, Jack Hurley, Gavin Conticello and Tommy Troy all had two hits for Hillsboro.

Michael Arroyo and Bill Knight had three hits apiece for Everett.

Jacob Steinmetz started the game on the mound for the Hops, allowing one earned run in five innings.

Listher Sosa was impressive in relief, allowing just a single hit while striking out four in three innings of work.

The win was the fourth in five games for Hillsboro against Everett this week.
