Maura Keller has won the democratic primary for the U.S. House of Representatives seat for Georgia’s District 3 seat, according to the Associated Press. The Republican primary will be decided by a run-off election between Mike Dugan and Brian Jack on June 18.

Keller received 1,033 votes in Troup County compared to Almonord’s 771, this does not include absentee by-mail voting. It was a closer margin in the district-wide race with Keller winning with 53.1 percent of the vote.

Jack won both the district-wide and county-wide race, receiving 3,119 of the 7,072 total votes cast in the Troup County Republican primary, without absentee by mail voting. He almost won outright receiving 46.7 percent of all votes in the Georgia third.

Because he did not receive a majority, a run-off election will take place to decide the Republican nominee. The winner of the run-off will face Keller in the November general election.
