When Apple launched Apple Pay in 2014, at an event 10 years to the day before this year’s iPhone launch, Apple promised the feature would “change the way you pay.” The company didn’t just let you save a credit card number on your phone; it let you pay for things with a single tap by transmitting information through an NFC chip. Apple is reported to launch a new button with the iPhone 16 called the “Capture Button,” and a new leak points to how phone cases will accommodate it. Intel’s chipmaking business may have run into a bit of a snag, as recent tests using the company’s next-gen manufacturing process have failed, according to Reuters.
