Traffic stop leads to arrest for assault, domestic violence

A Vicksburg man with outstanding warrants is facing charges of aggravated assault and domestic violence after being stopped for a traffic violation Friday.

According to information from the Vicksburg Police Department,  24-year-old Stuart Thomas was arrested Friday after the routine traffic stop alerted officers to his outstanding warrants stemming from an incident in August.

Thomas was taken into custody without incident and appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter Friday in Vicksburg Municipal Court, where his bond was set at $50,000 and he was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
