A Georgia Mother of Five Vanished In 1991. Where is Janice?

Janice Hughes, a mother of five beautiful daughters, lived with her boyfriend in the 1500 block of Oglethorpe Street in Macon, Georgia. The couple reportedly had a history of domestic violence in their relationship.

On June 8, 1991, she asked her boyfriend for $10 and left the house around 10:00 pm. He claims that he did not know at the time that Janice had taken his gun with her.

On June 8, 1991, around 1:00 am, Janice called her mother and told her she was coming over.

Janice never arrived.

She has never been seen or heard from again.

Her boyfriend, who is now deceased, claims he later found his gun at another residence.

Although he was never named as a suspect, her mother believed Janice’s boyfriend was involved in her disappearance.

Janice Hughes is 5’5” and weighed 135 pounds when she vanished.
