Ligon Mill Road is back open after it was closed early this morning due to a downed tree and power line across the roadway, according to Wake Forest town officials.

Town officials reported July 1 that Ligon Mill Road had been closed between Forest Road and Wake Drive due to a downed tree and power line across the roadway.

At the time of the initial announcement, a detour had been put in place. Motorists were encouraged to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
