A Wells Fargo employee was found dead in her cubicle at a Wells Fargo office in Tempe, Arizona, four days after she had last checked in for work.

Denise Prudhomme, 60, scanned herself into her office building at around 7 a.m. local time on Aug. 16, a Friday. Ms. Prudhomme worked on the third floor.

Ms. Prudhomme never scanned back out, and her body was found by building security on Aug. 20, the Tempe Police Department said.

No missing person report had been filed for Ms. Prudhomme before her body was found, according to reports.

Another worker at the office said that other employees use the third floor on a rotating schedule.

“I wasn't in last week. We have A-B schedules, so I'm assuming she was Part A. I don't even know where her team was because my manager used to be in a different state,” the employee, who asked not to be named, told KSAZ-TV in Phoenix.

Another unnamed employee told Phoenix’s KPNX-TV that employees did notice a foul odor but wrote it off as an issue with the office’s plumbing.

Her cause of death is unknown, and an investigation of the circumstances surrounding it is ongoing. There were no obvious signs of foul play contributing to her death, police said.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague, Denise Prudhomme. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we are in contact to ensure they are well-supported during this difficult time. We are committed to the safety and wellness of our workforce,” Wells Fargo said in a statement.
