Revamped kiosk on D.C.'s National Mall to offer breakfast sandwiches, pizza, wine

A National Mall kiosk right outside the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum reopening Friday will offer coffee, sandwiches, pastries, pizza and wine.

The kiosk will be called Bar Americano, offering outdoor seating and two menus Fridays through Sundays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the outset, according to Eater DC.

While the kiosk is operated by National Park Service concessionaire Guest Services, the offerings come from Northwest District of Columbia pizzeria Sonny’s Pizza and sister business Doubles, a cafe in Columbia Heights. A portion of all sales go to the National Park Service.
