RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) — God’s Way Home has shared a comprehensive update in their latest quarterly newsletter, highlighting recent developments, upcoming events, and ongoing needs. Here are some of the key points:

Since its opening in June 2021, God’s Way Home has welcomed 55 men into its program, with 8 graduating after a year of support. Both the Main Street residence and the 11th Street house are currently at full capacity, accommodating 9 and 8 residents respectively. Additionally, a 3-bedroom house in Lilly Park provides housing for a former resident and his family. Two more men are set to graduate in October, with their achievements to be celebrated at the organization’s inaugural Banquet Dinner.

Exciting news includes the expansion of long-term accommodation with 7 new beds in a facility at 306 7th Street, behind Valley Works Resource Center. The new facility is expected to open soon, pending the installation of HVAC, which will increase the total bed capacity to 24.

First Annual God’s Way Home Banquet Dinner and Silent Auction: Scheduled for October 19 starting at 5 p.m., this event will include a dinner and silent auction to support the organization’s mission. Registration and ticket information can be found on their Facebook page or by visiting Valley Works Resource Center.

Texas Roadhouse Hot Rolls Fundraiser: Later in October, the organization will again take orders for Texas Roadhouse hot rolls, perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Updates and ordering details will be posted on their Facebook page.

The newsletter also emphasizes the organization’s gratitude for the prayers, donations, and support from the community. It requests continued prayers for the staff, current residents, and those still struggling with addiction, as well as for the graduates and those who left the program before completion.

For ongoing updates and more information about events and how to get involved, the community is encouraged to follow God’s Way Home and Valley Works Resource Center on Facebook.

These updates reflect the organization’s commitment to expanding its impact and supporting individuals in need, showcasing the community’s essential role in its success.
