    Vote for the Gbr East and Gbr West ‘Football Friday’ Players of the Week (Week 1)

    Please vote for the WV Daily News Greenbrier East and Greenbrier West ‘Football Friday’ Players of the Week for week 1 of the 2024 High School football season . Three Spartans and three Cavaliers are listed together. We will take the top vote getter from each school and announce the winners on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting this week closes Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, at 9:00 PM.

    Nominees:

    GREENBRIER EAST (Defeated Riverside 24-20):

    Nate Suttle- 54-yard pass, 56 yards receiving including game winning TD with 2:12 left

    Brady May- 26 carries, 129 yards–52-yard TD reception

    Keshawn Bland- Game sealing fumble recovery. Around the ball all game on defense, in on numerous tackles

    GREENBRIER WEST (Lost to Pendleton County 27-21):

    Evan Vandall- 4-5, 99 yds, TD, INT and 21 yds rushing

    Kamden Sams- 2 rec, 40 yds- INT on defense

    Isaac Agee- 26 rush, 163 yds–35-yd TD reception
