Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to directly impact the lives of our students through scholarships and educational support.”

As part of the unwavering commitment to education, New River CTC Foundation will award more than $200,000 in scholarships this year, significantly contributing to student success and academic excellence.

Fundraising plays a crucial role in the success of New River CTC students, directly impacting their ability to access and complete their education. The funds raised through the New River CTC Invitational and other events are vital in providing scholarships and financial assistance to students who might otherwise be unable to pursue a post-secondary education.

In addition to supporting New River CTC students, the event also benefits participating high schools’ athletic departments and Project Graduation committees. A highlight of the tournament is the awarding of $1,000 to the “Most Outstanding Cheering Section,” encouraging school spirit and community involvement.

The tournament also serves as an economic boost to the City of Beckley and surrounding areas, drawing visitors and fostering community partnerships. Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate through various sponsorship opportunities, further strengthening community ties and supporting educational advancement.

Mark your calendars and join us January 6-11, 2025 at the 7th Annual New River CTC Invitational!
