Spartans Finish 4-0 in Home Tri Match

FAIRLEA- A good crowd packed the stands on Tuesday night, Sept. 3 when the Greenbrier East Lady Spartans hosted a volleyball tri match at the Spartan gym in Fairlea with Oak Hill and Nicholas County making the trip to Greenbrier County.

East cruised to four victories in four attempts and impressed heavily along the way. The initial Class AAA state rankings released early on Tuesday and the Spartans were ranked third and they did nothing but solidify that ranking in the evening hours. Mollie Pack, Alexis Stack, Regan Rink, and Paige Totten were impressive around the net, and Mackenna McClure set them up for easy scores and averaged just over seven assists per set. Senior Hailey Ervin stayed on the ground frequently and led the team with 11 digs on the night and Reagan Cline, a sophomore, led the squad with nine aces.

The girls hit the road and get on the court again on Thursday night, Sept. 5 for another tri match with Pikeview and Princeton.
