    Charleston Ballet Unveils “DRACULA: The Seduction” to Launch their 69th Season

    CHARLESTON W.Va. (WVDN) – September 4, 2024 – The Charleston Ballet proudly announces the much-anticipated return of “DRACULA: The Seduction,” choreographed by Artistic Director K. R. Pauley, to open its 69th season, A CREATIVE FORCE. The haunting tale will mesmerize audiences on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. at Charleston Coliseum Theater.

    “DRACULA: The Seduction” transports into a realm of darkness. It follows Miranda, a gypsy maiden intrigued by the mysterious Count Dracula. This ballet, set to the suspenseful score by Emmy award-winner Anthony DiLorenzo, promises to captivate longtime patrons and ballet newcomers alike, solidifying its place as a modern audience favorite.

    “We are excited to bring back ‘DRACULA: The Seduction’ as part of our upcoming season,” said Artistic Director Kim Pauley. “This production merges classical ballet with a chilling narrative, offering an unforgettable experience to celebrate the spirit of the Halloween season.”

    Advance ticket prices are $30 for Students/Seniors and $35 for Adults. These tickets are also available at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center Box Office and Backstage Bodywear. Tickets will be available at the door for an additional $5 per ticket ($35 for Students/Seniors, $40 for Adults).

    Adding to the excitement, the Charleston Ballet invites guests to “Dracula’s Ball.” “STAKE THE DATE’’ for an evening of food, drinks, and dancing as DJ EJ plays some haunting hits. Scheduled from 9–11:30 p.m. at the Charleston Town Center Marriott following the Friday, Oct. 18 performance, “Dracula’s Ball” promises to create an evening of memories to sink your fangs into. Attendees are encouraged to don their finest costumes for this adult after-party.

    Tickets for “Dracula’s Ball” are priced at $100 for individuals or $80 in combination with a performance ticket. Opportunities for businesses to sponsor tables start at $1000. Tickets can be purchased online at thecharlestonballet.com/ tickets or by calling 304-342-6541.
