MARLINTON, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Pocahontas County Drama Workshop is thrilled to announce its upcoming performances of Tom Dulack’s comedy “Breaking Legs,” scheduled for Sept. 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pocahontas Opera House.

“Breaking Legs” centers on the humorous and chaotic events that unfold in an Italian restaurant owned by a successful mobster and managed by his beautiful, unmarried daughter. When the daughter’s former college professor arrives seeking financial backing for a play he’s written about a murder, the funny business quickly begins. The three main Mafiosi find the idea of producing a play intriguing, and the daughter becomes enamored with the playwright, who eagerly embraces the family’s support. However, the situation turns complicated when the playwright discovers that his backers are, in reality, gangsters who demand serious script revisions.

In this madcap spoof of every mob movie you’ve ever seen, audiences can expect a delightful mix of murder, menace, and romance served with plenty of pasta and laughter.

    The talented cast includes:

Craig Goheen as Lou Graziano, the restaurant owner with a scary side hustle.

Lauren Bowlin as Angie Graziano, the infatuated daughter.

Jeff Marcum as Terrance O’Keefe, the unsuspecting playwright.

Chris Curry as Mike Francisco, a dangerous and dyspeptic gambler.

Nate Dameron as Tino De Felice, the laconic and sinister Mafioso.

Joe Miller as Frankie Salvucci, a family friend with a risky habit of owing more than he can pay.

General admission for “Breaking Legs” is priced at $10. Please note that the language may not be appropriate for all ages, as the production carries a PG-13 rating.
