Darrin Neil Carr went to his next big adventure on June 28, 2024. Darrin was born in Libby, Montana on March 26, 1969, to Lloyd D. Carr and Evelyn M. Sundt Carr. He graduated from Libby Senior High School in 1988. He went on to graduate from Wyoming Tech as an auto body technician.The only speed Darrin knew was wide open - whether it was loving his family, working, racing cars or snowcats, playing baseball or driving demolition cars. Stephen C. Beaulieu was born July 2, 1948, in Libby Montana. He was 76 years old when he passed away on July 5, 2024. He is survived by his four children: Jeffery Beaulieu, Jill Henion, Pamela Beaulieu, Virginia Cole and his 11 grandchildren. At the age of 18, he volunteered for the U.S. Army and spent time during the Vietnam War, in Germany, working as a cartographer. The devilish effects of methamphetamine addiction have led to a prison term for a northwest Montana woman.Five years ago, April Leann Ewing, 35, received a five-year suspended sentence in Lincoln County District Court for charges related to writing several bad checks to businesses in Libby, Troy and Noxon. On July 3, District Judge Matt Cuffe sentenced Ewing to a five-year term in a state Department of Corrections facility. A 45-year-old pilot was killed Wednesday in a firefighting plane crash just after noon on Hauser Reservoir near Spokane Bay while fighting the Horse Gulch Fire, which is burning just north of Canyon Ferry Reservoir, the county sheriff confirmed.Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton confirmed just after 5 p.m. that the pilot, a 45-year-old woman from a different country who was flying for an Idaho-based company, had died in the crash. Here are the results from the last two weeks of competition in the Cabinet View Women’s Golf League.On July 3, the team played a round of “Crier’s Tourney.” The ladies deducted the worst hole from their score and the net score won. The flight A winner was Barb Mee and the Flight B winner was Connie Stantus. Low gross winner was Barb Mee in Flight A and Shirley Chase in Flight B.
