Jeff Mittie and the Kansas State women’s basketball team have won a major recruiting battle.

Jordan Speiser, a 6-foot-1 shooting guard from Warrenton, Missouri, announced her intentions to play for the Wildcats on Friday.

Speiser is considered a top 20 recruit nationally in the class of 2025 by both ESPN and On3 . With a five-star rating from ESPN, she is one of the most highly touted players to ever commit to the K-State women.

She had many options coming out of high school, but she chose K-State over Connecticut, Iowa and North Carolina.

Speiser was named Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Missouri after she averaged 23.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game as a junior for Lutheran St. Charles High School and led her team to a 5A state championship.

The K-State women’s basketball team is coming off one of its best seasons in program history and will now look to build off that momentum by landing a high-profile recruit.
