2024 Wichita-area voter guide: What to know about candidates, where and how to vote

Voters in south-central Kansas will head to the polls soon to cast ballots not only for president but also for local candidates for offices ranging from county commission to state school board and the Statehouse.

To help you learn about those candidates, The Eagle asked candidates to answer questions on a wide range of issues suggested in part by readers. You will find their responses in the voter guide links below.

Advance voting for the Nov. 5 election begins Oct. 16 by mail and Oct. 21 in person in Sedgwick County. The deadline to register to vote or to update your voter registration information is Oct. 15.

Voters in Sedgwick County can cast ballots for Congress, for the state Legislature and for the state Board of Education. Some also will vote for county commissioners. To find out which districts you live in, go to the Kansas secretary of state’s VoterView at myvoteinfo.voteks.org , put in your information and click on districts.

U.S. House, 4th District
