Thursday, Sept. 19 was another special night at the Edna Boykin Cultural Center as country music lovers began arriving early for the Twitty and Lynn Tribute Show honoring Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn performed by the duo of grandson Trey and granddaughter Tayla.

There’s a moment at the very beginning of any Twitty and Lynn show that affords country music fans the chance to look back in time. Just after the band has played the signature intro to “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man,” Trey and Tayla shoot each other a glance that summons the electrifying chemistry of their grandparents.
