Bandon’s girls will play for the state basketball title for the first time Saturday night, after beating Regis 43-21 in the semifinals Friday at Pendleton.

The Tigers held the Rams to just four points in the first half and used a 17-0 run bridging the first and second quarters to build a huge lead that was never challenged.

Bandon faces Western Christian for the championship at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Regis shot just 13 percent from the floor, including 1-for-15 from 3-point range, and Bandon had big nights from both its senior leaders.

Katelyn Senn had 16 points, six rebounds and five assists and Olivia Thompson hit four 3-pointers and scored 15 points.

Hadley Foster scored nine points to lead Regis, which faces Knappa in the third-place game.
