Our Transportation Safety Office is charged to improve the safety of all roadway users, and all modes of travel in Oregon through education and outreach. This includes topics such as speed, distracted driving, impaired driving, pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, and more.

On May 15, 2024, we're hosting an important Public Engagement Event at the The Mill Casino 3210 Tremont St., North Bend, OR . This event is not just another gathering—it's an opportunity for you, the heart of the community, to have your voice heard and to shape the future of transportation safety in your area.

Starting at 1 p.m., we'll dive into a guided workshop designed to explore road user behavior and present vital crash data. Your insights during this session are invaluable in identifying the most pressing safety issues we face. You must RSVP to attend this portion of the day. Please RSVP to Rosalee Senger at 541-529-5105 or rosalee.a.senger@odot.oregon.gov as soon as possible as space in the workshop is limited. Then at 4:30 p.m., we’ll hold an open house. This is your chance to provide feedback on various safety topics and discuss the concerns raised by your fellow community members earlier in the workshop.

We need you there. Your presence, your input, and your commitment to safer roads are essential. Together, we can make a real difference in preventing tragic accidents and saving lives. Remember, both the afternoon workshop and the evening open house are open to the public, but space in the workshop is limited. So, please mark your calendar and make it a priority to join us.

To ensure everyone can participate, accommodations will be provided for people with disabilities. If you need any accommodations or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Rosalee Senger at 541-529-5105 or rosalee.a.senger@odot.oregon.gov . You can also contact the statewide relay at 7-1-1.

If you are unable to attend this event, but still want your voice heard. We have created an online survey that only takes a few minutes to complete but provides invaluable information in shaping the future of transportation safety in Oregon. Click here to take the survey and ensure that your voice is heard.
