The City of Coos Bay has contracted with Lagacy Contracting, Inc. to make the repairs to the Eastside Boat Ramp. Work will begin on August 23, 2024. During this time the Eastside Boat Launch Facility will be closed at Whitty St., with no public access, while the contractor is making repairs. This closure will expedite the reopening of the facility and give the contractor uninterrupted movement throughout the facility. It is estimated that the repairs will take up to 7-10 days to complete. The work will include the removal of the two damaged remaining piles and installation of three new 12” piles and setting the repaired floats back into the water. We understand that this facility is important to the community and these repairs are necessary to the reopening of the boat ramp.

Any questions can be directed to the Public Works Department at 541-269-8918.
