(Alabama)- According to numerous heartfelt Facebook posts, the music industry mourns the tragic loss of Alabama rapper Supa Nard. He passed on August 13, 2024.
Months ago on December 18, 2023, Dumb Out TV reported Supa Nard was involved in a serious car accident, airlifted to the hospital, and was in a coma. Many of the commenters under the video sent prayers for his recovery. As time passed, he awakened from the coma and was eventually released from the hospital. Locals in the community stated that after the car accident, Supa Nard was paralyzed from the neck down. Thus far the cause of his passing has not been released to his fans.
More About Supa Nard
In February 2024, 24 Hip-Hop published an article about Supa Nard stating that he was "an artist whose lyrics carry the weight of authenticity, a storyteller whose narratives are chiseled from the very life he’s lived." His music was a form of expression along with boldness."
He raps not about imagined extravHip-Hopgances, but about the reality he knows, the life he’s witnessed firsthand. He’s not here to fabricate tales over catchy beats—he’s here to testify, to share a reality that many live but few dare to vocalize.
Supa Nard was also a father. Earlier this year on his Facebook page, he made two separate dedication posts to his daughter and son. To his son, he said"HAPPY 14th BIRTHDAY TO MY SON AJ AKA LIL SUPER! POPS LOVE YA MY BOY!" To his daughter, he simply posted, "My baby," with heart emojis.
Supa Nard's most popular YouTube video is his song CBFW, which has more than 679,000 views. His next most popular song WWBJDhas more than 617,000 views.
Respect Being Paid
On Facebook, the hashtag #ripsupanard has begun to trend with many sending their condolences to his family. Big Whipper Visions created an online visual album dedicated to Supa Nard. The album's tagline says, "Make the whole world feel Supa Nard today!" The post currently has 243 reactions. Under the post, many Alabamians have posted prayer hands to pay respect.
