(Alabama)- In the state of Alabama, multiple women have become the victims of gun violence. One woman in particular, Asia Poole, recently lost her life on the night of August 20, 2024, and the chaotic ordeal was caught on Facebook Live.

Since that day, Birmingham authorities began to investigate the scene and questioned those present at the Monarch Ridge apartment complex to gain some understanding as to what happened to Poole.

On August 23, 2024, Alabama Media News reported three people were arrested in connection to Poole's murder. One of them was 19-year-old Janiyah Hendrix, who was apprehended at a family member's home.

Poole’s acquaintances said there was an ongoing dispute between her and Janiyah Hendrix over a man. It culminated Tuesday night when the two women got into a fight in the parking lot.
The video showed Poole in a brawl that began with Janiyah Hendrix and later involved multiple people. It appeared to start near Poole’s vehicle in the parking lot and then moved to a breezeway in one of the apartment buildings before a hail of gunfire erupted. After the shooting, Janiyah Hendrix reportedly fled in Poole’s Ford sedan. That, too, was captured on video. Witnesses said Poole’s car was already running when Poole jumped in and sped away. The stolen car was found abandoned in the parking lot of J Wings on Center Point Parkway a short time later.

ABC 3340 News reported that Janiyah and another suspect, Justin Hendrix, 20, are siblings. Taylor Towand,22, was arrested as well.

Janiyah Hendrix was charged with 1st-degree auto theft for allegedly stealing Poole's car. Her bond has been set at $30,000.

Justin Hendrix and Taylor Towand McCloud have been charged with 1st-degree murder and 1st-degree aggravated assault. Both have bonds set at $60,000.
