Taylor Swift Donates Millions to Those Impacted by Hurricanes

Alabama’s Taylor Swift fans, known as Swifties, now have another reason to proudly embrace the title given to them. The global superstar continues to dominate headlines, not just for her record-breaking music career but also for her incredible philanthropy and financial success.

According to Forbes, as of 2024, Taylor Swift has officially joined the ranks of the world’s richest female musicians, with an impressive net worth of $1.6 billion. Swift’s success is a testament to her hard work, savvy business sense, and loyal fanbase. Her recent Eras tour alone continues to gross hundreds of millions of dollars, cementing her as one of the top earners in the music industry.

But it's not just her wealth that has Swifties celebrating—it's also her heart and giving back to those in need. Just a couple of days ago, Feeding America announced that Taylor donated millions to assist those affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

The organization shared their gratitude on Instagram posting, “We're incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricane Helene and Milton relief efforts. This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms. Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need.”

This is not Swift's first time donating to those affected by a natural disaster. In December 2023, Billboard reported she donated $1 million to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to assist those impacted by tornadoes that ripped through the community.

Alabama Swifties can see a complete list of Swift's donations, dating back to 2011 when she donated $70,000 in books to her hometown, on Billboard's website.
