'Garth Brooks Just Revealed His True Self': Country Singer Submits New Evidence to Support His Claim

“Garth Brooks just revealed his true self. Out of spite and to punish, he publicly named a rape victim. With no legal justification, Brooks outed her because he thinks the laws don’t apply to him. On behalf of our client, we will be moving for maximum sanctions against him immediately,” said Douglas H. Wigdor (Founding Partner Wigdor LLP), Jeanne M. Christensen (Partner Wigdor LLP), and Hayley Baker (HB Advocates PLLC) in a statement to TheWrap News.

Country music legend Garth Brooks has recently made headlines, but not for the reasons his fans would expect. The star is caught in the middle of a legal dispute, stirring up controversy over the public disclosure of his accuser's identity in a sexual assault case.

Garth Brooks is currently facing serious allegations from a woman identified only as Jane Roe in a lawsuit. In a surprising turn of events, Brooks revealed her real name, stating that she refused to provide him with a pseudonym for the case.

Roe's lawsuit revealed that Roe was initially hired in 1999 to provide hairstyling and makeup services for Trisha Yearwood. Doe claims she continued to work for Yearwood and various other celebrities over the years. In 2017, she began working directly with Brooks, but the alleged sexual abuse started in 2019, two years after she began her role with him.

According to Brooks' legal team, the woman had previously agreed to use her name in litigation and included numerous identifying details in her own filings, making it impossible for her to remain anonymous.

Brooks initially filed his action as John Doe vs. Jane Roe, aiming to protect both parties' identities and minimize the impact on their families. However, his lawyers argue that Roe’s sudden insistence on anonymity is inconsistent with her earlier actions, which they believe undermines her credibility.

Entertainment News reported on October 17th that "Garth said Jane spoke about him being a client often.

He attached a 2022 interview that Jane did in a magazine. He said Jane even provided a photo of her with Garth to the publication. The entertainer included the magazine interview and the photo of him with his accuser in his filing.

Garth said she also touted her relationship with him on social media to generate business."

Roe's legal team has filed a motion for emergency sealing of the case and accused Brooks of intentionally disclosing her identity without consent. They claim that this action is not only unlawful but also a tactic to undermine her ability to pursue her claims of sexual violence in a separate lawsuit filed in California. They assert that Brooks was aware of her intent to file this lawsuit before he initiated his own legal action.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the spotlight on Garth Brooks will likely grow even brighter. For now, Alabama residents and fans alike will be watching closely as this story develops.
