On Sept. 17, detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office ACE Team arrested Ashley Brooke Baucom, age 30 of Hamptonville, for controlled substance violations.

The ACE Team worked a joint investigation with the Yadkinville Police Department and Davie County Sheriff’s Office after receiving numerous complaints regarding Baucom selling methamphetamine in the Yadkin County area.

Local detectives are familiar with Baucom from prior investigations involving the distribution of methamphetamine. Those investigations took place in July of 2023 and January of 2024. Baucom has five felony charges pending in Yadkin County Superior Court for Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine. In the Sept. 17 incident ending in arrest, Baucom was found in possession of 10 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute during a traffic stop on Lone Hickory Road in Hamptonville.

Baucom was taken to the Yadkin County Magistrate’s Office and charged with the following:

    • 1 felony count of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)

    • 1 misdemeanor count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

She received a $75,000 secured bond and is being held at the Yadkin County Detention Center. She is scheduled to appear in Yadkin County court on Nov. 13.
