Machias town manager Bill Kitchen is a waste of skin, no one likes him and he gets nothing done to improve the town or its residents. The Machias dyke should be priority #1 with the state and town. The so-called temporary bridge the MDOT put up is a joke, the steel plates aren't even bolted down and the pavement lip is rough enough to break an axle because the angle is too steep. NorthEast construction and paving has been jumping from place to place leaving gapping holes for months where manhole covers are and causing numerous near accidents with traffic jams and incompetent flagers, seven months into paving and they still haven't put stripping lines on much of the roads. MDOT DO BETTER!!!
