Raritan Resident Charged with DWI after Crashing into a Montgomey Township Home
Police charged a Raritan woman with DWI after she crashed into a Township Line Road residence in Belle Mead on September 20 at 3:11 pm. No one inside the home was injured. The driver, Tara Stankowitz, 49, of Raritan, failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of South Woods Road and Township Line Road before crashing into the garage section of the home. The Montgomery Township Committee awarded a new liquor license in September to the developer of the Village Walk, a mixed-use property on Route 206 in Skillman. Montgomery resident Vincent Pugliese and his family own and operate Pugliese Properties. They were the sole responder to the township’s solicitation for the liquor license. A Somerset County Grand Jury returned an 11-count indictment charging Brian Niziolek, 37, of Fairview Avenue in Somerville with 1st degree attempted murder for driving a stolen car into a Manville police lieutenant.
