“District” Project Update
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (The District) delivers water and sewer services to over 20,000 customers in Wood, Henry, Sandusky, and Hancock counties. Although many of our projects are performed underground, our utility work can impact water and sewer service and roads throughout our area. Updates are highlighted in bold and underlined.

Prevent Blindness Ohio Advises the Public to Leave Independence Day Fireworks to Licensed Operators in Authorized Displays Only – Columbus, OH (June 20, 2024) – As Ohioans prepare for July 4 celebrations, Prevent Blindness Ohio (PBO) wants the public to be aware of the dangers of fireworks. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), fireworks devices were involved in an estimated 7,400 injuries treated in U.S. hospital emergency departments around the 4th of July holiday in 2022. And, there were 11 non-occupational, fireworks-related deaths during that time period.
