Woman, dog injured in Essex, VT by attacking pit bulls
The Essex, Vermont Police are looking for two people in connection with an attack by a pair of pit bulls. The incident took place just before 12:00 noon Saturday between Pinecrest Drive and Market Place. Officers say two tannish-colored pit bulls that were reportedly off-leash bit an unnamed woman and her dog. The woman was taken to UVM Medical Center for treatment of several dog bites and what may have been a broken wrist. Her family sought their own treatment for a bite that the woman’s dog suffered.

Two children were shot inside a McDonald's in the Bronx, police say.It happened Saturday just before 10 p.m. on 2516 White Plains Rd. in Allerton.A 12-year-old was shot in the left thigh and back and a 13-year-old was shot in the left leg. Police say the investigation began around 5:50 a.m. Sunday, when St. Johnsbury Police received a report of an altercation inside the home. When officers got there, they found one man dead and several other people with apparent injuries.
