While it may not always claim the top spot, Netflix has traditionally dominated the streaming chart of the Samba TV Weekly Wrap Report . Since Sept. 1, the streamer has had no fewer than six titles make the Top 10 every single week.

That’s what makes this week’s chart stand out: Netflix claims just three of the most-watched streaming programs, while its competitors take the remaining seven spots, including No. 1.

That top spot goes to “ The Penguin ” on Max. The TV series set in the DC Comics universe has topped the chart for three consecutive weeks and will likely remain the title to beat throughout the rest of its run.

While Netflix’s share of the chart was cut in half this week, it did have a strong showing from the titles that made the list. “ Nobody Wants This ,” the romcom series starring millennial-era TV darlings Kristen Bell and Adam Brody , rises two spots this week to second place. It’s followed by less feel-good fare: “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.” The reenactment of the grisly Menendez brothers’ story has been a major hit. It falls to No. 3 this week, after two straight weeks at No. 2. The final Netflix entry features another public villain. “Mr. McMahon” at No. 10 is a docuseries about Vince McMahon, the accused sexual trafficker and former head of the WWE.

The fourth most-watched program this week is “Inside Out 2” on Disney+. The movie falls from No. 3 to No. 4 this week, still a strong showing for the animated film that has been the highest-grossing film at the box office this year.

With Netflix out of the way, it was a big chance for other platforms to shine. None shined brighter than Hulu, which has three entries on the chart this week, beginning with “The Old Man.” The second season of the thriller (which also airs on FX) kicked off on Sept. 12 and has built enough buzz to land No. 5 this week.

Hulu’s perennial hit “Only Murders in the Building” returns to the chart this week after a one-week absence, landing at No. 8 for its penultimate episode. At No. 9, the final Hulu entry, “ Grotesquerie ,” is spooky season entertainment, with a detective and a nun investigating a series of crimes . Two episodes were added to streaming on Oct. 2, helping the show reach the chart for the first time.

A couple of chart stalwarts round out the list of most-watched programs this week. “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” on Amazon Prime Video, aired its season finale to help the title move from No. 9 to No. 6 this week. It’s followed at No. 7 by “Tulsa King,” a hit for Paramount+ that is likely aided by the decision to air its first season on CBS earlier this year.

Switching to linear, the nation turned its eyes to the Vice Presidential Debate on Oct. 1. More than 20 million households tuned in, placing the debate within the Top 15 linear TV events of the year so far.

After that, the linear chart is a who’s-who of old favorites. “The Voice” cedes its crown to the politicians this week, coming in second. The whole of NBC’s “Chicago” universe makes the charts this week as well. “Chicago Med” and “Chicago Fire” come in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while Season 12 of “Chicago P.D.” makes the chart for the first time this year, at No. 8.

ABC owns the rest of the chart with several long-running series. “9-1-1” is its lone scripted show, coming in at No. 7. It’s joined by three episodes of “Wheel of Fortune” and, finally, “ The Golden Bachelorette .”

The Wrap Report provides an exclusive first look at the most watched movies and TV series from the past week across both streaming and linear television sourced from viewership trends collected from Samba TV’s panel of more than 3 million households, balanced to the U.S. Census.
