Louisiana EF-2 Tornado Struck Near Shreveport Monday, 53 Miles Long, Lasting Over 90 Minutes
Shreveport, LA – A devastating 53-mile long track tornado touched down in northern Red River and Bossier Parish, Louisiana, on Monday, July 8. The National Weather Service in Shreveport confirmed the tornado, rating it an EF-2 with estimated peak winds of 115 mph. The tornado, which occurred between 2:15 PM and 3:50 PM, lasted over 90 minutes and left a path of destruction approximately 1,000 yards wide, causing two injuries and one fatality.

St. Amant HS grad receives Nursing Solutions of LA scholarship
Gabby Boquet was awarded the Nursing Solutions of LA Scholarship. Gabby was an honor graduate with a 4.13 GPA at St. Amant HS where she was a member of the soccer team.
