Man Flees Police, Briefly Drags Officer, Arrested on Drug Charges
WORCESTER – A Police officer on patrol on Austin Street on Wednesday, Dec. 6, a ran a license plate check on a parked Acura and discovered the plates were registered to a Ford truck. Inside the Acura, the officer found a male, later identified as Carlos Torres, 53, of Worcester, who appeared to be asleep in the front seat. Torres refused the officer’s request to turn off the vehicle and accelerated away, briefly dragging the officer along.
52-Year-Old Worcester Man Arrested of Commercial Break In
WORCESTER – Police responded to an alarm at the Family Dollar store located at 205 Chandler St, leading to the arrest of a local man.
