Former State Senator Dean Tran Indicted on Federal Charges
BOSTON – A former Massachusetts State Senator has been indicted for the third time since July, this time on federal charges. Dean Tran, 48, of Fitchburg, was arrested today on charges of wire fraud and filing false tax returns, as per the 28 count indictment in federal court in Boston.
Worcester Man Arrested on Gun Charges After Short Chase
WORCESTER – A Worcester Police officer on patrol arrested a local man on multiple charges, including firearm possession and assault on Wednesday, Nov. 15th. Around noon, the officer spotted a white Hyundai without a front plate on Irving Street. After checking the license plate and discovering the vehicle was uninsured, the officer called for backup and stopped the vehicle on Chandler Street.
Warrant Leads to Two Arrested for Drugs, Guns in Worcester
WORCESTER – A search warrant executed by Worcester Police officers at a hotel led to the arrests of two individuals on Thursday, November 16th. At around 9:45 AM, Angel Ortiz, 37, and Zakarra Ortiz, 18, were detained by officers as they left a Plantation Street hotel room.
