7-11 Brownies in SoCal Recalled Due to "Life-Threatening" Allergy Risk

Innovation Bakers, LLC has announced a voluntary limited recall of one day’s production of its 3.5 oz packs of 7-Eleven Fudge Brownies due to the presence of undeclared walnuts, the FDA says.

The recall affects 2,081 single-serve units that were distributed to 7-Eleven stores across Southern California on September 8 and 9, 2024.

People with allergies or severe sensitivities to walnuts could face serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the affected product. However, no illnesses have been reported at this time.

The recalled product is marked with the Lot Code: Best By Wednesday 0911 and comes in a 3.5 oz package with the UPC code 05254856392. Only this batch of 7-Eleven Fudge Brownies is affected, and no other 7-Eleven products are involved in the recall.

The issue was discovered when walnut-containing brownies were mistakenly distributed in packaging that did not list walnuts as an ingredient. The company reported the issue to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and initiated the recall.

Consumers who have purchased the affected brownies are advised not to consume them. Although they were sold a few weeks ago, people might still have the brownies in their pantry or car.

No other products from Innovation Bakers are impacted by this recall.
