PG&E has announced that Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) will take place today across parts of several counties due to forecasted high winds and dry conditions, increasing wildfire risk. While only portions of these counties will be affected, customers in impacted areas should prepare for potential outages.

    Counties Under PSPS Warning:

    • Alameda
    • Colusa
    • Contra Costa
    • Glenn
    • Lake
    • Mendocino
    • Napa
    • Santa Clara
    • Shasta
    • Solano
    • Sonoma
    • Tehama
    • Yolo

    Details:

    • Only specific areas within these counties will experience shutoffs.
    • PG&E typically provides specific address-level information two days before a planned outage.
    • Affected customers can check for updates and outage maps on PG&E’s outage map tool.

These power shutoffs are part of PG&E’s safety measures to reduce the risk of wildfires during periods of high fire danger. Red Flag Warnings are in effect throughout much of the region, with gusty winds expected through Saturday.

Customers are advised to prepare by charging devices, securing backup power sources, and monitoring local alerts for further updates.
