Popular Monticello Bagel Festival will be held on August 11th
MONTICELLO – The 12th Annual Bagel Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 11th on Broadway in Monticello. More than 150 vendors are expected and the event will feature the Any Make Any Model Car Show. Mayor comes out against short-term rentals
It’s still just in the discussion phase but Chester Village Mayor Christopher Battiato proclaimed at this week’s village board meeting that he opposes short-term rentals in the village of Chester. At last month’s meeting, Trustee Alan Battiato said the same thing. That makes two out of five board members on record supporting the ban of short-term rentals.

New York State Police have released the identity of the man who drowned in the Upper Delaware River on Sunday as Chirag Pratel, a 37-year-old Bensalem, PA, man.
