Aggravated robbery prompts heavy police presence near Houston
CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas — A reported armed robbery at a convenience store in Chambers County on Saturday night left one victim shot and led to a swift police response. According to Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne, deputies responded to the Time Max convenience store at 16160 East IH-10 frontage road in the Cove area around 9:25 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a robbery in progress and a victim who had been shot. Deputies quickly coordinated a search for the suspect vehicle, which was located shortly after. Following a brief pursuit, the suspect was detained and taken into custody.
