UNITED FOOD BANK GETS $2 MILLION GRANT FROM STATE
The NEW BUILDING CAN NOW BE FINISHED to help make a difference in the community. Thanks to Florida Senator Danny Burgess, and Florida Representative Lawrence McClure, the state of Florida gave a $2 million grant that allows the United Food Bank of Plant City (UFB) to complete its new facility on Alsobrook St. Since October 2023, the food bank has been operating out of a building on the Hillsborough Community College campus in Plant City.
Pasco deputies searching for missing endangered 39-year-old man
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Pasco County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for an endangered 39-year-old man who disappeared last Sunday, according to a news release. Frederick Schaltenbrand was last seen around 6 a.m. on Aug. 11 in the Cub Court area of New Port Richey, deputies said. The sheriff's office reportedly doesn't know what he was last seen wearing.
