White Haven celebrates bicentennial
White Haven officials and residents celebrated the borough's 200th birthday this weekend with a street festival featuring food trucks, local vendors, eating contests, live music and more. The festival was held along Main Street with more than 40 food and retail vendors in attendance, primarily local businesses.
Swoyersville Chicken Wing Fling held
The Swoyersville Chicken Wing Fling came back this weekend. The event, which benefits the Swoyersville Parks and Recreation Board, was held Saturday and Sunday at Roosevelt Park at the corner of Tripp and Scott streets. This year’s event featured around 10 vendors specializing in chicken wings. A panel of judges sampled each in a blind taste test to determine winners in a variety of categories.
