(Hinton News) - Warriors In The Field, an Elkins-based non-profit that serves veterans, visited Summers County on June 22 and 23 to take a deserving group of veterans on a New River float fishing trip. Rain showers and thunderstorms continue throughout the rest of the work week
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Good morning NCWV and Happy 4th of July! We already saw a few rain showers this morning and are expecting more rain showers and storms throughout most of the day as another frontal system approaches from the west. Although, there are going to be periods of no rainfall or thunderstorms as we move on throughout the day, especially towards the evening hours! Flash flooding is possible but incidents do remain possible as we move on throughout the next few days. High temperatures today are a bit lower than yesterday, getting into the low to mid 80s in the lowlands and the mid 70s in the higher elevations. We are expecting rain showers and thunderstorms to continue tomorrow, but we are also expecting an increase in temperatures with highs getting into the high 80s. With the increased humidity, heat indexes are going to be through the roof, feeling like up to 100 degrees!
