Seven former West Virginia basketball players participated in the NBA Summer League this month. Let’s take a look how each player did with their teams. Battle received an invitation to summer league from the Hornets following the NBA draft. Battle is now fighting for a two-way contract. His California Classic debut for the Hornets was his best performance throughout the summer. Battle recorded an efficient 12 points on six shots in 14 minutes.

Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise.
